What we are working on...

• writing our names with all the correct upper case letters
• writing letters with the correct formation (our letters start at the top)
• correct pencil grip
• Thinking strategies while we read a book...predict, re-tell, connect
• representing quantities 1-5 with pictures and symbols.

Coming up...

We will be checking out our first library book in October.  Please look for the library sheet coming home in your child's backpack.

Upcoming event!

Endeavour PTO night!  This is an open house event. 
Open house is from 4:00pm-5:00pm where the classroom will be open.
BBQ and family fun from 5:00-6:30pm



Same Day...
Walk 'n' roll event.
We encourage kids to be healthy by walking or riding to school that day.  Please remember that bikes, scooters and skateboards are not allowed on the bus at the end of the day.  You can pick the scooter, skateboard, or bike up at the BBQ. 

First week of Kindergarten

First week of Kindergarten was very successful.  The students have been making new friends and learning new routines.  The excitement of something new has begun to wear off and I am finding the students getting tired towards the end of the day.  Perfectly normal.

Please check your students backpacks this week...

• Pay back coupon books are coming home.  This is a great fundraiser for our school.  Please take the time to read the information
• Bottom line letter is coming home.  This talks about the rules.  These need to be signed and returned.

Welcome to my classroom blog!  I wanted to welcome everyone to Kindergarten.  We are going to have a great year.

Things to remember for the week...

• School starts at 9:05
• Everyone is welcome to bring their students to the classroom, make sure it is a quick good bye
• Have the bus card filled out with all the information and attached to your students backpack
• School ends at 3:45
• If you are picking your student up, please wait by the kindergarten pick up area.
• Do not take your student until I have made eye contact with you and give your student a "high five"
